KZN floods spotlight destruction of sectional title housing schemes

The recent disastrous floods in KwaZulu-Natal have left a trail of death and destruction. Some 4 000 homes have been destroyed and more than 8 000 damaged. For homeowners in sectional title complexes, the aftermath of the floods includes uncertainty and anxiety about whether the sectional title scheme that they have invested in will end because of the damage or whether repairs should be undertaken – and what say they have in these considerations.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: REGARDING EXAMINATION REGISTRATION TO ALL PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES FOR THE ONLINE PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATION EXAMINATION SCHEDULED FOR 19 MAY 2022

Due to the persisting glitch on the PPRA IT system, the examination registration is opened with effect from 21 April 2022, and will be enrolled manually by all candidates.


The closing date of the registration is extended from 29 April 2022 to 6 May 2022 in order to allow the candidates an ample opportunity to register before the closing date of 6 May 2022.


All candidates will be expected to complete the PDE enrolment form and send it together with the supporting documents outlined on the said enrolment form to the following email address:pde@theppra.org.za.


To access the PDE form, click on the top menu under EDUCATION. On drop down menu bar click on PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATION EXAMNIANTION (PDE) then scroll down and click download PDE form.


Candidates who may have previously submitted their registrations forms before this communique are urged to resubmit their applications to the email address mentioned above.
